Wellness Compounding Pharmacy in Cary Specializes in Custom Compounds

EXPERT PHARMACEUTICAL KNOWLEDGE BEHIND AN EXACT FORMULATION

Physicians rely on compounding when a patient needs specific and unique formulations. Compounding prescriptions may be the ideal solution when the standard pharmaceutical product is unsuitable. Because compounded prescriptions are customized to the patient's individual requirements, it is possible to provide solutions that commercial pharmaceuticals cannot address.

Dr. Megan Pasookhush, PharmD, leads the team at Wellness Compounding Pharmacy. As the founder and director of Wellness Compounding Pharmacy, Dr. Pasookhush filled the growing need for compounded prescriptions. With extensive pharmacy experience, Dr. Pasookhush opened one of North Carolina's leading compounding pharmacies. With advanced training and certification, Dr. Pasookhush envisioned creating a state-of-the-art compounding facility. Wellness Compounding Pharmacy of Cary follows the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention 795 (USP 795) guidelines for compounding and is compliant with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Dr. Pasookhush collaborates closely with The Triangle's leading physicians to offer formulations specific to the needs of their patients.

THE ART & SCIENCE OF COMPOUNDING

Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients. Compounding pharmacists can make compounded medications based on a practitioner's prescription, in which individual ingredients are mixed in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. The pharmacist, prescriber, and patient work together to customize a medication that meets the patient's specific needs.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

Providing high-quality compounded medications is the standard at Wellness Compounding Pharmacy. All drugs are compounded on-site in our state-of-the-art pharmacy, led by Dr. Megan Pasookhush.  Wellness Compounding Pharmacy follows the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention 795 (USP 795) guidelines for compounding and is compliant with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a scientific non-profit organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements manufactured, distributed, and consumed worldwide. The USP writes federal guidelines for pharmacy procedures and protocols. USP’s drug standards are enforceable in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration.
